MISSING: remember the dairy calves
October 10-14 is School Milk Week, when the dairy industry floods schools with
propaganda materials aimed at 'creating lifetime milk consumers'. To highlight
this shameless attempt to make addicts out of the nation's children, as well as
expose the cruel practise of tearing newborn calves from their mothers, we have
produced a 'MISSING' poster (see right). We would love to see this poster
gracing notice boards, lampposts, shop windows and anywhere else you would
normally find MISSING posters, to coincide with School Milk Week. Please feel
free to order as many as you can use. Email

Viva!'s new youth campaign is all go!
No More Excuses is the new hard-hitting campaign launched by Viva!'s youth
department. The campaign breaks down some of the myths people give to stop them
taking up a healthy veggie diet through a snazzy leaflet and eye catching
posters and stickers. Head on over to

find out more!
Incredible Veggie Roadshow comes to Canterbury!
Wow, what a year! Canterbury will be getting a dose of fruity flair as The
Incredible Veggie Roadshow finishes its regional run on Saturday, 22 October!
Find out more about it and see the full list of shows here
<
http://www.viva.org.uk/roadshows/canterbury.html> . If you can offer us help
for any shows - we would especially like to hear from you if you can help
publicise the event locally by putting up posters or handing out invites, or if
you can help out on the day itself - please get in touch
<mailto:
angie@...> . It's incredibly rewarding to see so many people
interested in vegetarianism and the shows have proved so busy so far that we
really need all the help we can get!
The party isn't over - London here we come!
London's Incredible Veggie Show will be the grand finale of Viva!'s phenomenally
successful Incredible Veggie Roadshows. It is the largest event of its kind in
the UK - and, if you book your tickets now a veggie food hamper worth £150 could
be yours!
A must for new and existing veggies - and those simply wishing to cut back on
animal products - The Incredible Veggie Show will be the place to be seen, on
Saturday 12 November 2005. With over 90 exhibitors representing every aspect of
a vegetarian and vegan lifestyle from food and drink to clothing and footwear
and cosmetics and toiletries to baby products.
To book your tickets, or to find out about what is promising to be the veggie
event of the decade go here <

Veggie Month is a roaring success!
Throughout September Viva! supporters held over 100 'Go Veggie!' stalls up and
down the land. So, a massive thank you to everyone who took part to make it such
a huge success - and also to those who door-dropped leaflets and put up display
packs. We sent out over 100,000 leaflets and posters - and we have been
inundated by people wanting to switch to a healthier, cruelty-free diet!
They say all good things must come to an end, but why should they?! Veggie Month
was such a success we're keeping it going indefinitely! Click here

involved.
A very veggie Christmas!
We know it's not even Halloween yet, but you can never plan too early! Click
here <
http://www.viva.org.uk/christmas/index.html> to order our ever popular,
free Christmas recipe pack. Our Christmas turkey door-dropper leaflets will soon
be available, please contact us <mailto:

distribute them locally and help even more people have a cruelty-free festive
season.

This email alert reaches thousands of people but we'd like your help to make it
even better. At the moment, we have just one list of addresses which means that
we have to send the same email to everyone. From time to time we'd like to let
people know about things happening in their area or get in contact with our
younger supporters but we don't want to fill everyone else's mailboxes with
information that isn't relevant to them. What we'd like to do is compile email
lists separated into different regions so that if we do have something we'd like
to tell people in Scotland or Yorkshire about, we can send them the information
without bothering anyone else.
The simplest way for us to identify which area you live in is to know your
postcode and so we'd be grateful if you could take a minute to fill in our
online questionnaire <
http://www.timetogoveggie.com/emailconfirm01.php> . We'd
also really like to know your age if you're under 18 - you can fill in your date
of birth on the form. You won't receive any postal mailings (unless you want
them and fill in your other details) and the information will be used only to
sort your email addresses. You don't even have to give us your name if you don't
want to.
As ever, if you would like any more information about any of our campaigns,
check out our website www.viva.org.uk <
http://www.viva.org.uk/> or get in touch
with us directly - contact details at the top of this email. Please don't click
"reply", however - your email won't be seen at that address.
Thanks again for all your support.
Note: Viva! does not forward emails from other sources or supply email addresses
to other organisations. The only emails you receive as a result of being on this
list come directly from us. Viva! has full and current virus protection.
