Look Out London - Here We Come!



London's Incredible Veggie Show will be the grand finale of Viva!'s
phenomenally successful Incredible Veggie Roadshows. It is the largest event of
its kind in the UK - and, if you book your tickets now a veggie food hamper

A must for new and existing veggies - and those simply wishing to cut back on

Join the Turkey Taskforce!

Christmas is meant to be a time of peace and goodwill, but try telling that to a
turkey! 20 million of these fascinating creatures are slaughtered in the UK
every year, over half of them at Christmas. Help us raise the profile of this
poor, neglected bird by distributing our turkey leaflet in your area - suitable
for door-dropping, displays in libraries and health food shops and stalls at
Christmas fayres. We also have small (A4) and large (A2) turkey posters
available, as well as a mouthwatering Christmas Recipe booklet. To order email

Viva!'s Fantastic Festive Feast



For Viva!'s Christmas fundraising meal this year, we wanted supporters and
friends to enjoy a delicious vegan meal in beautiful, historic surroundings ....
and where better to do so than the Banqueting Suite at Bath's Guildhall?! If
it's good enough for the Queen (who did lunch there back in May 2002), then it's
darned as hell good enough for us!!



The meal will take place on Sunday 18 December from 1.30-5pm, beginning with a
short presentation by Viva!'s founder and director Juliet Gellatley, followed by
a 3-course lunch (with wine) and celebrity speakers. To end, there'll be the
opportunity to buy a wide range of Viva! merchandise, in time for Christmas! To

No More Excuses Goes National!



Viva!'s new youth campaign, No More Excuses, has been featured in several teen
magazines this month - including a full-page ad in Mizz - and the orders for
action packs have been flooding in! If you'd like to get involved in our youth

Help Stop Live Exports



An Early Day Motion (712) has been introduced to parliament on the live export
of sheep and calves. Last month live exports of British sheep to the continent
resumed and the EU are now considering lifting the export restriction on calves,
so that male dairy calves from the UK may once again be exported to European
veal crates. Please contact your MP and urge them to sign EDM 721, introduced by
David Taylor, MP, which calls on the Government to end the barbaric practice of
live exports.

Your Viva!City



This email alert reaches thousands of people but we'd like your help to make it
even better. At the moment, we have just one list of addresses which means that
we have to send the same email to everyone. From time to time we'd like to let
people know about things happening in their area or get in contact with our
younger supporters but we don't want to fill everyone else's mailboxes with
information that isn't relevant to them. What we'd like to do is compile email
lists separated into different regions so that if we do have something we'd like
to tell people in Scotland or Yorkshire about, we can send them the information
without bothering anyone else.



The simplest way for us to identify which area you live in is to know your
postcode and so we'd be grateful if you could take a minute to fill in our

also really like to know your age if you're under 18 - you can fill in your date
of birth on the form. You won't receive any postal mailings (unless you want
them and fill in your other details) and the information will be used only to
sort your email addresses. You don't even have to give us your name if you don't
want to.
