Timetogoveggie.com is Go!
Our new website <
http://www.timetogoveggie.com/> is now up and
running. A colourful and interactive on-line version of our incredibly
popular free magazine, It's Time To Go Veggie!
Designed especially for meat-eaters and the veggie curious (those that
can make the biggest difference to the suffering of animals simply by
not eating them), it is the perfect introduction to four big reasons to
give up meat: saving around 4,022 animals; improving your health; doing
your bit to end environmental duestruction; and helping people in the
developing world to help themselves.
If everything-you-ever-wanted-to-know-about-going-veggie was not enough,
the new site marks the debut of a ground-breaking animation where
meat-eaters can find out how many animals they have eaten so far in
their lives and how many they can save by simply ditching meat. The
animation features cute cartoon animals, but also shows the darkside of
intensive farming - and is sure to give any meat-eater plenty to think
about. (Please note: the animation may not be suitable for young
children).
We all know those stick-in-the-mud meat-eaters. Please visit our new
website <
http://www.timetogoveggie.com/> and send the 4,022 e-card to
friends and family so they can find out the massive difference they
could make with just their knife and fork!
New E-petition to Ban the Farrowing Crate
We've launched a new on-line petition urging the Government to ban the
barbaric farrowing crate, where hundreds of thousands of breeding sows
are imprisoned for a month at a time, twice every year. You can sign
the petition at www.piggles.org.uk <
http://www.piggles.org.uk/> and
send it to a friend - another great way to get your non-veggie friends
and familiy to our websites.
How I Healed Myself
More and more people are taking their health into their own hands and
adopting diet and lifestyle changes to counter disease. Our sister
organisation, the Vegetarian & Vegan Foundation, is eager to hear from
anyone who has healed themselves by simply changing their eating habits.

Raise money for Vegetarian & Vegan Foundation with your browser!
Also, you can help our sister charity raise money for its life saving
work simply by surfing the web! www.everyclick.com
<
http://www.everyclick.com/> is an internet search engine with a big
difference - it donates half its revenues to charity!
Just make www.everyclick.com/uk/vegetarianandveganfoundation your home
page and make sure you use it whenever you search the web!
It does not cost us, or you, a penny so please use it to support
Vegetarian & Vegan Foundation.
Roll-up For Your Free Copy of Lifescape Magazine!
Fab veggie woman's lifestyle magazine, Lifescape, continues to go from
strength-to-strength. To celebrate their second birthday they are
launching the Lifescape Awards, and they want to know who your favourite
charity is (hint hint: Viva! and the Vegetarian & Vegan Foundation!),
who your must-have make-up brand is, the best food.. etc and there are
ten categories in total. Five readers who send in their nominations will
also be interviewed for a feature in future Lifescape issues!
Simply pick up a copy of Lifescape! And that couldn't be simpler, as
anyone who emails <mailto:
freecopy@...> them will get a
free copy of the magazine through the post! The only condition is that
you must mention Viva! in your email.
Incredible Veggie Roadshow Comes to Norwich!
There's still no stopping Viva!'s Incredible Veggie Roadshow! Last
month's Bath show attracted an amazing 2,156 people (our second biggest
turnout ever!), and veggie and animal issues got loads of media
attention (including five pieces in the main local paper and three radio
interviews!). You can't keep a good thing down, so we will be rolling
into Norwich on Saturday November 4 2006.
A brilliant free family day out, there will be cookery demonstrations,
talks, veggie stalls, competitions, cruelty-free fashion, beauty
products, vegan food products, books, information and campaign news.
Free nutritional advice will also be available all day.
Find out more about it and see the full list of shows here
<
http://www.viva.org.uk/roadshows06/norwich.html> . If you can offer us
help for any shows - we would especially like to hear from you if you
can help out publicising the event locally by putting up posters or
handing out invites, or if you can help out on the day itself - please
get in touch <mailto:
angie@...> . It's incredibly rewarding to
see so many people interested in vegetarianism and the shows have proved
so busy that we really need all the help we can get!

Your Viva!City
This email alert reaches thousands of people but we'd like your help to
make it even better. At the moment we have just one list of addresses
which means that we have to send the same email to everyone. From time
to time we'd like to let people know about things happening in their
area or get in contact with our younger supporters but we don't want to
fill everyone else's mailboxes with information that isn't relevant to
them. What we'd like to do is compile email lists separated into
different regions so that if we do have something we'd like to tell
people in Scotland or Yorkshire about, we can send them the information
without bothering anyone else.
The simplest way for us to identify which area you live in is to know
your postcode and so we'd be grateful if you could take a minute to fill
in our online questionnaire
<
http://www.timetogoveggie.com/emailconfirm01.php> . We'd also really
like to know your age if you're under 18 - you can fill in your date of
birth on the form. You won't receive any postal mailings (unless you
want them and fill in your other details) and the information will be
used only to sort your email addresses. You don't even have to give us
your name if you don't want to.
As ever, if you would like any more information about any of our
campaigns, check out our website www.viva.org.uk
<
http://www.viva.org.uk/> or get in touch with us directly - contact
details at the top of this email. Please don't click "reply", however -
your email won't be seen at that address.
Thanks again for all your support.
Note: Viva! does not forward emails from other sources or supply email
addresses to other organisations. The only emails you receive as a
result of being on this list come directly from us. Viva! has full and
current virus protection.
