I have recently got involved as I have read the book One dog at a time - by Pen Farthing a royal marine who was in Nowzad a place in Helman Province of Afghanistan and how he saved dogs. The charity is now set up to save dogs and cats in Afghanistan.

Hi Jan, thanks so much for your enquiry. Are you local to stoke on trent?
The walk is taking place on Sept 6th, 2pm at Westport lake, nr Tunstall.
The dog that we are trying to rescue is currently on an army base in
Kabul, but she is going (hopefully) to Kabuls dog rescue centre
tomorrow, so her journey begins!
She has been looked after by our guys for the last 5 months. Its
horrendous what happens to the dogs out there.
I will send you a sponsor form for you to print out, but if you cant
print it off i can post you one if you give me your details.
