Hi Shropshire Veggies & Vegans Thank you so much for taking the time to read our email, we are the Manchester & Salford branch of the RSPCA, an entirely separate charity from the national RSPCA and we are predominantly governed by veggies and vegans. We do not follow or support all of the national RSPCA's policies and procedures - we adopt our own policies on animal welfare which include not euthanizing animals that are in our care - unless, of course, they are very ill, and we do not support the Freedom Food scheme. As a result of our beliefs we have decided to hold a vegan gala evening at The Whitworth Art Gallery on Sat 7th November in city centre Manchester to promote a truly cruelty free lifestyle and, of course, to raise much needed funds as we are running at a loss of £10k per month at the moment and only have a modest income of around £100k per annum. The event includes a vegan wine reception, 3 course vegan meal and live entertainment throughout the night. We were hoping that you might be able to spread the word amongst your group so they can come along and enjoy a truly cruelty-free night out. Tickets are just £25 each but there is a discount on bookings of 8 or more poeple at just £22.50 each made before 30th September. We are really hoping that the veggie/vegan communty will get behind us with this venture and appreciate any support you can give us.
