It's not often we use this list for humerous articles, but I thought I might
just send this out. Before I do, however, a clarrfication of the address for
Telford International Centre, as it seems it failed to work last time...remember
they are hosting vivisectors in November (see last email or

Now, the humerous bit. MPs do, from time to time, propose Early Day Motions.
These are bit like petitions to the government and are normally quite a dull and
very wordy. They normally congratulate some local football team or make strange
amendments to policy, so it was great to see LACS patron, vegetarian and all
round animal friendly MP propose the following motion:
EDM 1255
PIGEON BOMBS 21.05.04
Banks/Tony
That this House is appalled, but barely surprised, at the revelations in
M15 files regarding the bizarre and inhumane proposals to use pigeons as flying
bombs; recognises the important and live-saving role of carrier pigeons in two
world wars and wonders at the lack of gratitude towards these gentle creatures;
and believes that humans represent the most obscene, perverted, cruel,
uncivilised and lethal species ever to inhabit the planet and looks forward to
the day when the inevitable asteroid slams into the earth and wipes them out
thus giving nature the opportunity to start again.
