Hey y'all,

The Catholic Church is going through an important period of change at the
moment...yes, it is the SHUXI AGM and we are to elect a new president. here is
a run down of the main candidates:-

Olly: Hot favourite after flourishing as Rosemary's no.2. Not being a Hallam
Student and not being a Catholic count against him. May share the presidency
with a Hallam student.

Laura: Young energetc choice. Again, not a Hallam student and coupled with a
lack of experience may count against her but many are behind her getting on the
exec.

Dennis: Hallam student who has served on the exec as secretary. Lives in the
house and very welcoming. May end up sharing the presidency with one of the
Sheffield students.

Damien: People want him back but the brilliant one has ruled out a return to
the platinum days.

Obviously, it is JP2's death that has dominated the news. May I say that the
outpouring of grief from the public and the media have made me proud to be a
Catholic this week. And to think SHUXI has been within spitting distance of
him. You may have heard that the election method for the election of the new
Pope is a Saturday night show called Pope idol with Simon Cowell as a Judge,
however, this is a great exageration.
