Dear AU Clubs
FIRST AID COURSES
We will be holding 5 First Aid training courses during the Autumn term which you and your club members can apply to attend. The courses cost £15 per person plus £5 for the qualification certificate. If approved by the Club President, the club can claim up to £60 for 4 members to attend a course. Please send the attached application form out to any student club member you think may be interested so that they can apply before the places are all used up.
I will be looking for qualified First Aiders to attend AU matches and events at Wide Lane during the year. The rate of pay is £8 per hour and the usual days of work are Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, depending on what fixtures and events we have on those days.
If you or anyone you know if already a qualified First Aider, please contact me so that I can put you on my list of AU First Aiders. There are a few forms to be completed before you can start work (contract and pay details) and these can be done when you return to Southampton.
AU PRESIDENT’S NEW EMAIL ADDRESS
I have already emailed most clubs advising of the new email address for Henry. However, I put the wrong address! It should be aupres@...<mailto:aupres@...> (not soton.ac.uk). Sorry, but please could you amend your email address book again to show his correct details.
AU GENERAL COMMITTEE MEETING
Just a reminder that the first AU General Meeting is on Monday 06 October 2008 at 1pm in the Cube. We will be handing out shiny new blue information packs at the meeting as well as budget allocation details.
