Description

We are a friendly group catering for those who are interested in the hobby of long-distance (DX) radio reception on the mediumwave, longwave and tropical bands.

Some of our members are hobbyists from other areas of the DX hobby such as VHF-FM / TV DX, short wave, tropical bands & ham radio. Our members span the globe and we always welcome newcomers to the hobby. Whether you are an experienced DXer or just starting out and need some advice, you are very welcome.

The Skywaves MW Group has been set up following suggestions that we should add a dedicated forum for medium and long-wave enthusiasts, since many members of our FM & TV DX group "Skywaves" are not a member of any other medium wave group. We hope this will be a useful platform for all to share their DX tips, loggings, news and information.

Please feel free to browse this forum and read about the current medium wave DX conditions, view member's DX loggings and report your own news and DX catches.

Our messages are now private so you will need to be a member to view and post messages. A Yahoo user ID is necessary. Just to point out that this is a spam-free zone. Once a member you can choose to ...

* Receive individual emails via your regular email browser, as and when they are posted.

* Receive a daily digest of emails via your browser.

* Read messages via the group home page only.

You can change your membership preferences and have all your posts sent directly to your email client, or you can opt for daily digests, or just subscribe to "webmail only" and read all posts on this site as and when you please. Please note that all messages will become "private" (for members only) at some stage in the future.

So, whether you wish to post your DX loggings, ask a question about aerials or equipment, discuss propagation, make comments and suggestions, or simply join in with the banter, we hope you will find our forum both useful and appealing.
