Subject: RE: Sea Mills Community Project & Big Roman Dig
Thank you!
We would get posters and other publicity as well as dedicated webspace if we
were affiliated to the Big Dig - quite apart from the possibility of being
on tv...
Sea Mills was the Roman port of Abonae, but very little has been excavated -
we don't know where the public buildings were, for example.
I'm hoping to have a meeting with a colleague at the Museum about this on
Friday, so if there's any other news I'll pass it on. We do need to submit
our proposal by March 30th, but I can probably do that anyway at this stage.
Look forward to hearing from you again soon!
Liz

Elizabeth,
I'm very happy to float the idea locally. It would be an excellent piece of
publicity for the area if we could arrange something.
I had thought that Sea Mills had been essentially farm land before the
houses were built, but I'm only a newcomer, and others may know better.
I'll let you know if I get any responses.
All the best,
Paul.
