*Bristol Neighbourhood Planning Network: *
*Campaign for early replacement of the failed SCI*
//
Following on the letters that we hope will have gone from different
groups within the network, we intend to set up a meeting with the
council in early January 2007, to find out exactly what is happening
with the redrafting of the Statement of Community Involvement and when
community groups can expect to be involved.

We hope that, as a result of all your letters, the officers and
councillors will be keen to involve residents' groups more with the
process of drawing up the new SCI before the formal examination process
and far more than was the case the first time around/./

Pending the next meeting of the whole network at the end of January 2007
when we hope to formally elect representatives, the ad hoc working group
that was approved at the Network meeting on 18th November will meet with
the Council. The Working Group is:
Andy King, [Kingsdown Conservation Group];
Alison Bromilow, [Redland & Cotham Amenities Society],
David Farnsworth, [Bristol Civic Society];
Audrey Lennox, [Westbury on Trym Residents Action Group];
Steve Pearce, [Brislington Community Partnership].

*Are you happy to be represented by this group at the fact
finding meeting in January or would you prefer to represent your own
group directly?*

We need a reply to this email to be able to tell the council that we are
representing your group, or to check dates for the meeting with you.

*Please can you let me know asap one way or the other.*

Thank you, Alison Bromilow
