Dear Sea Mills & Coombe Dingle Community Project


Essential People are a government funded programme set up to help the
unemployed back into work. We do this through a supported learning
scheme; which incorporates a short 15hr free training course, with
some one on one sessions that allows us to tailor each course to the
learners needs. We can guarantee each learner an interview at the end
of the course, along with continued support and job development.

As we are new to Bristol, I'm looking to make links with community
centres and associations to try and reach those in the community that
may be looking for work but not knowing where to start! Essential
People training does not effect any benefits and we work together with
the Job Centre and recruitment agencies in Bristol to offer the widest
range of jobs to our learners.

I have attached some information about the scheme which outlines our
programme. I am aiming to either make contact with community groups
that can refer people to our services or to come in and set up some
posters and leaflets at any community information boards. I would also
be interested in any jobs fairs or community events that we may be
able to partake in or support.

If you feel that your community members may benefit from our services,
please contact me and I will arrange to come and visit.
