I don't think they use lead in pencils anymore - it's all carbon - so
presumably that should be fine. Other than that I'd speak to one of the
smallholder suppliers like Ascotts and see what they recommend.

But sorry, no, don't know of what you could use. Pencil lead sounds dodgy -
presumeably pretty much anything used will get into the egg. Have you tried
