Homes needed for Guernsey dairy cows   Message List

Folks

The farm I was WWOOFing at is now selling off the remaining stock.

The dairy herd is 4 lovely Guernseys, ages ranging from 8 to 13. Meredith has
two heifer
calves at foot; she calved last month. Nina should be calving as I write.
Annie will be due
soon, Susie in the spring.

All of these cows would make good smallholder / house cows; they are docile and
used to
being hand-milked. They produce plenty of milk for a household / smallholder.

The cows will be sold under the OTMS (ie, slaughtered) unless buyers who will
pay at least
as much as the OTMS can be found. (Which in practise means about £300 each,
plus I
guess £50-£100 each for the calves.)

If anyone might be interested in any of these lovely cows, let me know.

Cheers
Sally
