I used to be a member of this group ages ago, I think my
membership must have somehow lapsed, so 'hello' to anyone
who still remembers me.
Although we gave up our shared smallholding we still carry on
growing most of our own vegetables in our large garden,
breeding Indian Runner Ducks and Silkies. I still have about half
an acre on our old smallholding which I'm turning in to an
orchard, grafting a good number of my own trees every year. I
also have a more intensive system of pear and apple cordons at
home, currently up to about 45 varieties.
I wonder if anyone can help me out. I desperately need to
rehome a young blue silkie cockerel, as he's competing with his
dad and the crowing is beginning to get a bit out of hand. He's
vaccinated for Marek's disease (so unsuitable to mix with
unvaccinated silkies), nice deep blue in colour with all 10 toes.
Free to experienced, kind home. We're in Oxfordshire.
