Yes please, I only have three trees, but a friend told me of an apple tree
on which you are able to graft a few different varieties - is this really
possible? Diversely different apples such as Bramleys and Pippins on the
same tree?

Subject: [SmallHolding] Any fruit growers out there?
I was wondering about starting a uk orchard/fruit growers group,
as this is my main interest, and wondered if anyone else would
be interested in joining? The aim would be to share information
on culture, promote propagation of rare local varieties, teach
grafting skills, find good sources for rootstocks etc.
I feel there is a real dearth of good advice on fruit growing, with a
lot of misinformation propagated by TV and Radio gardening
'experts'; most garden centres sell large, difficult cultivars as
pot-grown trees (which will establish poorly) at greatly inflated
prices, so anyone starting out on an orchard project might
appreciate some genuine advice and support.
Any thoughts?
Elizabeth
