RE: [SmallHolding] Just joined and saying hello!

Hi Rachel

The website is gorgeous, you should forward it to the smallholding and
self-sufficiency website too. Is it on Countrylife as well?

Regards
Karen

Subject: [SmallHolding] Just joined and saying hello!

Hi!

I just came across this group and although it seems fairly quiet I
thought I would join. My partner and I run a small hill farm in
Cumbria (180 acres) with beef cattle and sheep. We keep mainly Rough
Fell sheep and some mules and texel and suffolk crosses. We are
considering getting some rare breed pigs. Looking at Oxford Sandy &
Blacks.

We have just got a new Border Collie puppy to train and she is
ruling the house!

As our farm diversification (as we all need one now a days) we set
up http://www.gofarmer.com which is an online market place for
farmers, smallholders and rural businesses to sell and buy
livestock, list machinery for sale, produce, farm shops, farm stays,
rural services, rural crafts etc. We have a special offer on at the
moment where your first year's membership is just £5 and you can
advertise as many things as you want for a full year with pictures.
We are approaching 600 members and would love to see some more
smallholders and farmers using the site.

Rachel
