What variety can you sew this early?
We have problems in our polytunnel with ventilation - if we keep the
door open I'm afraid it will rip as we're in a very exposed coastal
area. We've been told if we leave a door open either end it will be
OK, but to be honest I haven't dared try it! When the rest of the
country has a force 4 we have a force 7....
Also, how do you fare with blight when growing in a tunnel? This area
is pretty bad for blight, and on the potatoes grown outside we usually
have to cut off the haulm pretty early.
At the mo, we have winter peas and carrots doing OK in the tunnel, but
the caulis and winter spinach succombed to stem rot : (
