So far Mic , we haven't that problem, but saying that we only grow them very
early on in the season and pick them very early. How about growing them
outside in mini tunnels so you could open them more often ? We don't have
a wind problem here, and where it is sited it is also very sheltered. I try
to grow what works for me, sometimes trying new things, but growing with my
climate and surroundings. Saying that it has taken me 7 years to grow
rhubarb successfully here, but I'm now glad I kept trying ! The spuds I grow
thi searly, are usually ones I find around in the shed sprouting from last
year, sorry not much help !
