Yes you have to have them done by the vet at that age, I think the
legal age for them to be castrated without vetinary attention is
somewhere around the 7-8 weeks mark in the UK at the latest. I
haven't lived in the UK for many years now but it was under review I
think sometime in the 1980's when I left there?
I think the method of Banding them is still allowed? but this had to
be done within a matter of a couple of weeks maybe 2 at the most, I'd
have to look that up now to see if I'm up to date with the UK
practices. I'm sure it is?
