As long as everyone Kite surfs responsibly and understands their limitations, then everyone can enjoy both the Harbour and out to sea safely.
On Sunday, I shall be out on the sea side as this is the safest place to kite surf - with the new Rev. If anyone wants some guidance/help then I'm more than happy to assist - call me on my mobile.
Tim, will you be at Sandbanks on Sunday?
Regards,
Pete

Hey - chillout Kyle :)
You could look at it from the point of view that Tim was concerned for your safety too? The harbour on an easterly is pretty dangerous if you can't stay up wind as the water just gets deeper and deeper, and the wind is really gusty as it travels over the land. The open sea is not that scarey - Hope to see you there sometime!

Tim,
Who are you to say, where we can and cannot kite, when you dont know
us, our standard or our the people who we kite with. Safety is my
first priority for myself and whoever is kitesurfing with me and I
can proudly say I and people I have kited with have never had an
accident. I respect the beginners when I am there and make sure I
dont infirnge on their learning. I suggest you find your facts out
before you shoot from the hip.

beginners. If you can go upwind, and stay up wind, you should not use
the harbour, unless it's a NW. As it's E on Sunday, it will be
offshore in the harbour, and a no go zone, even for learners. Off the
front at Sandbanks would work, but not the harbour.

but the wind is gusty, there is a road that goes around, and it's
full of learners. It's ideal to learn how to go upwind, and maybe, if
it's quiet, a place to learn new tricks, but should not be a priority
site. The combination of lot's of learners, a road, and gusty
conditions make it at best a sketchy spot, if not dangerous. The
harbour only realy works in NW, although it can be used for anything
with W in it. 9 times out of 10 you'll have more room, and more fun
off the front.
