You’re enthusiasm is great, but these
guys are right. You really should do lessons – purely for the safety
aspect if nothing else. You need to be able to self rescue, and know what to do
when you get into difficulty. If you get into difficulty and then make a wrong
decision things could get bad.

Rapid,
for gods sake listen to the advice given. Do not go it alone. By
the sounds of it you are looking at an early death, and frankly, we
could do without the bad press at the moment.
You will also get good advice on the type of kite you want to buy as
well, and it won't be a 19.5m kite, let alone an ARX. You ain't ready
for the power or the instability of it. TO be honest whoever sold you
these old kites should be shot. None are suitable for a beginner.
