People of SDKC,

This month 14th - 16th is Windfest 2007 (sandbanks), a must be on the
kiting calander and I feel it would be rude if we didn't participate on
our home turf in style. So I am suggesting that we all meet up and have
a laugh over the weekend, Kite, Eat, Drink, party etc. If you are
interested, email me via this site and while you are at it look at
www.kitesurf.co.nr and remember i am trying to drags our name into the
lime light here.

Hope to see you soon

Kyle

Firstly I do not wa! nt to tread on anyones toes here and I am only
doing this as a kin d hearted gesture to try and promote the club, its

values and increase the sports and area's popularity. I am NOT doing
this for my own good, to make money or upset people and muscle in on
what has already been done or to look good.

Today I have just finshed the basis of a South Dorset Kite Surfing
Club website that is now up and running but only visible to those who
know the address. (ME) at the minute. Being a member for a few months
now via BKSA I found it very hard to find out about the area, flying

wanted to promote what I am part of and increase membership. I have
contacted a few people on this site with no reply so deciding I was
not doing anything wrong i have gone ahead with making a site. The
site is for us the members and everyone can express what they want in

Karen,

Would you be able to rustle up some flying location information for the site in the SDKC area. Would you want to be on the riders profile on the web page. If so please send me a picture and some info about you.

Agreed, and it's great that you've taken it on.  I'll try to put some stuff together for you.  Didn't mean to criticise at all just wondered who else just watched this forum and didn't really take part...

Can I suggest as a start that you could approach Mark Meredith.  He has a website www.boardingimages.com purely for kite pics in Bournemouth and Poole with a few extras.  He might be willing to donate a few.  Some of the best kiters I know are photographed there.

Noted. But give me a chance. All those picutre are from one day I was
down and there were no rider on the sea front. The club is what it
says "South Dorset" a big area. I will be getting picutres from all
over the sites I just need to get down to them and there is nothing in
the site saying it is only poole harbour the members fly at. nor will
it be the time i am finished. As I said I am trying to do somthing for
the club and YOUR help will be an advantage. So Karen, send me info on
where you fly with as much detail as possible and email any picutres
you have and they will go on the site. I am trying to make a go of the
site and promoting the whole area not just the harbour. Give it time
and the site will expand into a beautiful flower.

Update: bit of a delay on the forum (bloke didnt get back to me) I have
found a even better website builder so mark two should be on the way
soon. Folks This is not a one man team and your help in the site
content will not go a miss. If you have any info about site you know
around the area email me the details and I will put them on the site.
Also I am looking for members who wouldnt mine there picutres on the
riders profile. Please send me a picutre of you flying and some detials
of who you are, kites you fly, boards you use, locations you fly at and
your expereince level. I dont need to know your age, weight and what
you fancy eating later though. I will tell you when the forum is up and
running. Karen and been most helpful so far so thank you for that. It
has been noted that it was just poole harbour in the site. Dont worry
all other location will get into the site. all picutres were taken on
one day I popped down inbetween flying. Oh and if you want to know what
the very old looking kite in the pictures is, it Loz's circa 1900
wipika. haha. The kite flys like a demon though and was the only thing
that stayed in the air that day. I can see a promising thing on the
horizon.

contacted a few people on this site with no reply so deciding I was
not doing anything wrong i have gone ahead with making a site. The
site is for us the members and everyone can express what they want in
or out of the site and with reason I will do my best to incorporate
the ideas. If no one does ask for stuff in or out of the site I will
do what I feel is a honest unbiast and fair advertisment of the club.
Protecting the integrity club and the privicy or its members and
information.

Please look at the site and email me what you think.

All,

For everyone who has paid up through BKSA and joined the club, we will be launching the club officially this year and you will see your money put to good use. FYI, I do have a list of all members and who has contributed to the club.

An official mail shot for the club will be issued next week.

Please hang-in there.

Regards,

Peter

Hi,

The site looks good however, I can't help but feel on the outside a little.  Are there any other people out there that have paid to be members of this club for ages but don't really feel part of it?  I live in Bournemouth and hate the crouds in the harbour so nearly always kite on the sea front at Southbourne, between the piers or Branksome Dene.  All of the discussion seems to be around the harbour and now all of the pictures on the site are of there too.

Just wonderering who else is out there!

Karen :)

Thanks folks for you support for the site here and via email. To add to
what I said the site as it is now is the beta version or trial version.
I am looking at a more flashy pro site for the future. As of hopefully
tonight we will have an all new forum and later this week a calander
and who, where, when section for you to post your outings for all to
see and meet up. Google, Yahoo and the rest of the major search site
have been sent the address to look at the site so hopefully soon if
people type in Kitesurfing and Poole and some other carefully chosen
words our site will pop up for all to reval at. All update will be
posted on the site under news section.

Kyle
