Much to my surprise, I've been finding a fairly constant stream of free new books - decent ones, that is - and have continued to flag them at Free-New-Books.com. Latest on there is a whole slew of classic travel books and a bunch of Warren Ellis' comics. All the books are legit - as far as I know - and unabridged.
