Hello to all new members joining us and to all 'old' members :-)
Having a second bike is actually a very good idea and many of us have gone down that road.
My Second bike is an Aprilia Pegaso 650, but I still love the ride on the Sporty best. Sporty has character and on longer rides you can feel it's 'soul' (or it can feel yours...depending on the way you look at it) ;-)
Prior to buying my Sporty I have ridden a number of Japanese bikes, but they all felt, more or less the same.
Anyways, you think Harleys rust in this weather? You should see the Aprilia!!! There isn't a bolt or an engine cover where there is no corrosion...not to mention the frame or swingarm.
I do not think bikes themselves are problems, it's this humid climate. If you ride your bike, it will be affected by it.
Same goes for my bones I think...just passed my 40th and I think some of my joints need the WD40 treatment ;-)
Ride safe!
