TCS-MC2 DECODER STRANGE BEAHVIOUR   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #473 of 987 |
I have just purchased some TCS-MC2 decoders from Bromsgrove Models to replace
the Hornby fitted decoders in the Pendolino set.

Having installed one of them into the powered unit I am experiencing some very
strange behaviour using my SPROG II with Decoder Pro.

DP correctly identifies the decoder and I am able to read ALL the CVs. The
motor pulses with each read!

However, when reading the speed curve table (CVs 67 to 94), when CV67 is read,
CVs 68 to 72 all change to the same value! Reading CV72 changes values of CVs
67 to 71.

I can change CV values with DP but using the Throttle has no effect on the motor
and does not switch the function outputs!

After checking the wiring/motor isolation etc three time I risked trying the
loco on the main track with my ROCO Multimaus and everything works as expected
including the directional lights!

Has anyone on this group experienced anything similar especially using the TCS
MC2 decoder?

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
