MyMy new Sprog II usb arrived 2 days ago so -----------
It seemed to install Ok and I was up and running! Using Decoderpro 1.7.5 I
seem to get inconsistant cv1 reads other cv's much better although not as
obvious if faulty ( to Me )
it reads manufacturer ID and decoder model ok !
Often get " No loco present" on cv1 even when loco is ACKing and doing its
little jump along the track. I have connected dirrectly to the decoder therefore
bypassing any dirty track or pickup problems, still the same! Have tried two
different locos/ decoders.

When Trying with single throttle I get similar results only works 10% of the
time no pattern to it . I try to do everything the same each time but get
different results.
seems to help if I refresh the cv1 address
Have a lot to learn so could be doing something stupid!~! ( very Likely )
