Yesterday I purchased a TCS M1 decoder to go in a single motor
Spectrum/Bachman GE44 Tonner.
I wired it up as the TCS web site and also the documentation that came with
the chip suggests and then tried programming it via JMRI and a SprogII.
It would seem that if I choose either Paged or Direct mode nothing happens.
The motor squeals/squawks (what ever you want to call it) as you send a
command but other than that diddly squat happens! Nothing is changed, even
simple things like changing the running number from the default 3 to be 4.
Nope it is still set to 3!
The lights come on and you can turn them off with F1 so the chip is working
I just cannot adjust anything from the default settings.
Clues, ideas, comments, wish I had waited and bought my normal Lenz silver
chip or a Loc Pilot.

Chris, TCS decoders offer full user control over the amount of dimming with CV 64. TCS recommends values from 2-8 for LEDs, the factory default is 15, but you...
Hi Barry Yes I read up on CV64 although not sure what I should put in it to get what I want. I am using JMRI and it does not have CV64 in the CV Tab, so it...
