Can't get my Sprog II to work.   Message List

Re: [sprog-dcc] Re: Can't get my Sprog II to work.

Ah yes. I did try that. My Notebook only has USB and EasyDCC assigned
COM5 via a USB to Serial adapter cable. This works fine. Sprog's
install assigned COM6 and I did try changing it to another unused COM
port. COM 3 & 4 appeared to be unused on the list so I tried COM 4. No
change to the symptoms.

That was all before I wrote my question to the list last weekend.

Now I am thinking on two possible tests:

1. Trying to use COM 5 for the Sprog as the EasyDCC USB is not
plugged in when the SPROG II is.
2. I have a work Notebook! I can try a complete install on this
other Notebook. It uses many different USB devices at different
times...... I also have a desktop PC near my modelling
workbench. Also with many USB ports. Can try it on that PC
perhaps before I clutter my work Notebook.

Will let you know how it works out.

Thanks for the prompt to think outside the box!

Brett
