There is no track voltage.
Using Hyperterminal I can switch upper LED on and off, I also can get
the version number. (3.9)

When I type in "C1" or "V1" - (sans punctuation) - I Get "=" then "NOACK".


settings are 9600-8-N-1 with Hardware handshake.

Looks like Pc talks to Sprog ok but Sprog cannot talk to track.

HELP !!

I can't do much else really as I don't have a scope or any idea how to
troubleshoot.

Patrick, Yes, the + command switches the track power as well as the LED. With the track power on, the PIC pins should be toggling. Your DVM may show a voltage...

Patrick, The reply of !O in the JMRI log means that the SPROG detected a short circuit and turned off the track power. That's why you can't read any voltage. ...

It is worth it - I use a SPROG as a command station - it works really well. I too had teething problems but these were due to my PIC being blank - no-one's...
