Roger,
If the error is "No loco detected" rather than "Timeout talking to command
station" then that indicates the software is installed OK and the SPROG is
communicating with the PC.
How did you try to "recognise" the decoders. One of the ident buttons in
DecoderPro will try to match against a roster whcih you will not have with a new
setup. The other reads the manufacture and model from the decoder.
The current SPROG firmware handles most if not all QSI decoders. There is an
issue reading CV1 in some version 6 decoders.
Have you tried paged mode as well as direct mode?
What power supply are you using for the SPROG? It *must* be a regulated DC
supply. If it isn't, then it will almost certainly cause you problems.
