I have tested the loco away on my dad's layout with a Dynamisys and the loco
performed faultless. No shorts (other than when it fell off the track at the V
of a point) found at all...

So this is the second loco that stops running on the throttle, but will program
fine ?

I will try a factory fitted plug and play loco tomorrow to see if the same
happens then with Sprog to find if it has gone faulty after all these years or
if it is just a case of a dose of bad luck !

and this is the same, I can't get above 1\4 power before sporg shuts down. I
know this is not a short as when this occurs, Decoder Pro also freezes -All I
have to do is turn the power light back on.
