Well Newbury i thought was enjoyable, those of you that went (or are
going today)They know how to put a show on ! ! ! I was speaking to a
few traders about our show next year and following years. TSS said
that it may be too late to change it for next year, as everybody
feels we are putting the show on at our usually time and date. we
should use the time from now till 2008 to publicsize the fact we are
movin it to a Febuary or late May/June date, ANY THOUGHTS ? ? ?
Another thing that was brought up is to Theme the show. My personal
thoughts are it could be a good idea and as a club we could tie our
theme with Peter Pig.We Could theme our show on a set of rules that
are up and coming from PP. Like at this moment we are helping to
play test the new ACW rules. So we could theme our show with ACW in
mind when Martin brings out his rules for next year.
I think that as we normally give our all with play testing any rules
Martin Throws at us, it could be a way of (This might be the wrong
way to put it) ending past few months of the play testing etc.
We could then put on a RFCM competition for those set of rules as
well as or in place of a PBI competition depending on how much
reaction we get from the wargamming public.
We might then be able to set a trend or set up a system that poeple
who are following the development of the new rules, a chance to
wargame their army and learn more about the new rules of that year
etc, and/or iron out about problems that might be apparent etc.
