AGM thoughts

 

1.Make the show a 1 day affair (saturday)

with the sunday just for competitions and catering.  This would focus all the attendees in to th eone day and be less of an imposition on members time.

Do a trip for all the members who help at the show (cinema, wargamse show, military site, reenactors kelham hall style event...)

 

2. Challenge cup. Do stab still have it Paul?

Interclub PBI doubles?

 

3. Stab to take on the other Bournemouth clubs........SDMS, charminster etc...

 

4.Some simple club project using plastic figures.  Use HAT, revell etc.... Plan a big battle (dark ages to allow a whole mix of vikings saxons etc.    ) Players can use between 1 to 3 boxes of figures. Simple rules. Agree a date. Figures only have to be based not painted. Whoever turns up on the day from any club can play. If you bring figures hyyou can use the. You can join any side. Massive board (30ft by 4 ft

 

All players need to do is buy a box of plastic men and turn up.  Other clubs welcomed.

Massive battle??

 

Or do it in napoleonic...loads of figures available ( I prefer dark ages)

 

Needs about 3 months notice.

 

Easy to organise, good fun, club gets together, minimal outlay in time and money. Big spectacle....echo???

Our AGM is on our 2nd meeting of the month 17th September. 2 o clock
start. One of the topics will be the change of STaB convetion date to
earlier in the year and probable venue change as there are associated
problems with timings when it comes to a school venue etc.

I was proposing that we have a inter-club competition with our local
friends of Weymouth club on our first meeting in either October or
November which is either best suited for all concerned. two games of
PBI either pairs or singles. Miles.
