The Bouremouth Club has moved from the Fiveways Pub in Bournemouth
Dorset to the Bridgehouse Hotel in Longham. They still play 'whatever'
every Monday including RPG and board games and will be running some
weekend events throughout the year, including charity events.

Every monday from 1800 hours. Cheaper bar than before and nice well lit
room.

Funday Sunday!!!

Hi Everyone

The date for the 'Challenge Cup' Club Competition with Weymouth has
been set for Sunday 20th July. To make this event viable it was
necessary to choose a date most convienient to Martin Goddard (and
his team of warriors). The 20th July is it.

The intention is to have three games running. An English Civil War
game and Samuri game using Peter Pig rules and a Game of WHAB. There
are no 'competition rules' as such and we have agreed that, if
necessary, there is no reason why a member of one club could not
represent the other. So you can see the idea is for it to be a FUN
day. There is not even the need for all players in a game to be fully
conversent with the rules so long as at least one player is!!! The
winner of the competition will be decided after judging each games
outcome.

Gary has offered to run a Space Vixens participation game.

If any member of the club wishes to take part PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Of course, this event does NOT stop club members turning up normally
for a game of their own but if anyone is expecting to put on a 6ft x
16ft Waterloo wargame - it would make things very difficult!!! I
would be grateful if you could let me know if you will be at the club
but not taking part in a competition game.

Please let me know asap if you would like to take part, what game you
would like to play, (the games can be single doubles, etc depending
on interest) and if you can provide figures.

More information will be provided as details develop.

I have updated the website ! I have actually neglected in the past
FEW ? weeks so I spent Wednesday correcting that. Just to Remind
everybody that the club is putting on another RFCM competition on 27th
September. This is CWB which is Civil War Battles aka 15mm ACW.
Anybody want to put on a competiton for the club ? ? ? WAB ? 40K ?
Talk to me or Les as we can help out setting it up !
There is also info about the challenge cup and possibilities on
expanding it as a few club members have been talking about ? ? ? I
have still got to put the PBI pictures on there and here, but I Will
apologize now, but I had 2 quite serious illness in March/April then
April/May that just knocked me back alittle bit. So I am now back on
top of things so hence why I have now been sorting things out and
getting back on track.
I hope to see a lot of the club members on 20th July for the CHALLENGE
CUP day against the Levellers, playing varios games I myself will be
playing against Nigel with CWB; so those not playing a game and want

Hi Guys

As I realised I had to bail out of the game next weekend, if wanted I'll do one of the 27th Sept instead.

CUP day against the Levellers, playing varios games I myself will be
playing against Nigel with CWB; so those not playing a game and want
to see how the game is played please do come along and see.
Miles.

I went up to ATTACK in Devizes yesterday, very good show, not a bad
venue. It was nice to say hello to alot of people yesterday etc.
What was noticable was the was alot of STaB members there but only a
few of us( 2 actually ) were Wearing Club Shirts ! ! ! Now I know 3
members of the club were Trading, so they would be wearing
there "Trade colours", I know myself if I had gone up to help
PeterPig I would have worn my PP shirt, I know we have had
some "New" members since our last issue of Shirts, so with those
excuses out of the way ;WHY wasn't the other members of the club who
have shirts Not wearing theres' ? ? ?
Are these poeple not proud to be members of the STaB Club ? ? ?
I think this should be brought up at our AGM, someone will have to
remind Dave Marcroft as I think he was given the job of looking at
some new shirts, Alan will correct me if I m wrong on that !
I have put the flyer for the clubs next competition in the file
section. Which is the CWB competiton (15mm ACW game) the details are
on the club website: www.sttab.co.uk on the competitions
page ! ! !
PeterPig have a number of flyers, and I know Gary and Steve will be
giving them out at any shows they attend. Remember any profits we
make off the competiton go into Our clubs'fund reducing the clubs
yearly expenditures ! ! ! And it helps to raise peoples awareness of
the clubs' profile and exsitence.

Miles has a point about this - I can't remember the last time I attended a show as a civilian but i do wear a club shirt when I can.

Quite incidentally i was mailing Steve a minute ago about new Sapce Vixens polo shirts - so perhaps if i do these I could get the club logo and web address put on too - kill two birds with one stone.

Hi,
Funny you should mention this!!! It was I who was looking into the issue of club 'T' shirts and badges etc. I too, was at Devizes. I noticed that Peter Pig had, for sale. some polo shirts with the Peter Pig logo embroidered on them. I thought they looked rather good and wondered where Martin goes to get the polo shirts and how much it would cost to have something similar with the STaB logo?

A copy of this e-mail has gone to Martin.

Martin could you kindly let me have details of your T shirt supplier and costs!!!

running imp are a sports T-shirt company, that do printing or embroidery.
http://www.runningimp.co.uk/default.asp?cid=0&page=clothing#2

from this, a T-shirt with our logo would be expensive as there's a £20 set up per colour (didn't used to be priced like this...)
An embroidered colour polo shirt (up to 6 colours in the logo) comes out at 6.75 each (25+), with perhaps a £25 set up fee spread across making them less than £10, inc VAT and shipping.
we'd need to send them our logo design for a proper set up quote.

Ralph un-Fortunately there aren't any available at the mo. The last
lot were printed up about 4-5 years ago. This is why when I was having
a "whinge" I said those that are new members are excused but the older
members aren't. Most of us Older members have 2 -3 Club Polo Shirts in
Black,Blue and Grey and some us have Black jumpers as well.
Tim it doesn't matter about the set up cost, you split this up with
the first 20/25 ordered adding another £1 to each, This covers the set
up fees, like when I price up the competitions I put a £1 on for the
free Tea/Coffee and prizes; its got to be paid for ? I for one
wouldn't object to paying another £1 on the first shirt, I think most
of us would be the same ! ! ! Heres' my order I 'll have 2 new shirts
in L or XL if we are doing different colours then one Bright coloured
and one dark coloured please,if not 2 dark colours Please.
Miles.
