Stephen trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music Drama, gaining a BA 1st Class Honours Degree and the Royal Academy of Music, London on the Musical Theatre Course. He made his West End debut as Boy George in Taboo (opposite Boy George!)and returned to the role for the award winning 1st National Tour of Taboo.
Other theatre credits include: Soloist in An Enchanted Evening (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane) for BBC, Principal Vocalist in the national premier of Christopher Benstead's Carmen (Scottish Ballet), Basilio in the Music Theatre London adaptation of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro at the Drill Hall, London, 16 Gobs at The Kings Head, Islington, Colin the Ploughboy in Mother Goose at Watford Palace Theatre, Harry in the West End showcase of When Harry Met Barry, appeared in the Calibre Productions tours of Beyond Broadway, Masters of the Musical and Kings of Swing, created lead role of George, in The Ha'penny Bridge at The Point, Dublin, Nick Piazza in Fame in London's West End , John in the new Musical Tomorrow Morning at the New End Theatre, Hampstead, The Beast in Beauty and The Beast, at the Clwyd Theatre, Mold and recently he created the principle role of Adam in the new musical Imagine This at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth.
Stephen is currently appearing as Bob Gaudio in Jersey Boys which opened in London's West End on 28th February 2008
