Dear Friends
Christine and I have been away for 11 days, and received this e-mail on our return.
I spoke to William on the phone this morning and he confirms that things are bad. Excessive rains have lasted since June/July with the consequent loss of crops. The Uganda Govt is trying to repair bridges swept away, but making slow progress. William reports that the huts the church built around the church buildings have collapsed. They housed refugees from earlier troubles.
The rest of the e-mail says it all.
BUU know, and await a report from the District.

I hereby kindly submit our prayer request to you and the entire body of Christ. we have experienced a lot of loss of crops here in Katakwi because of a lot of rain fall from June up to now. We have lost all these crops as a family:
a) Groundnuts six gardens
b) Sweet potatoes two gardens
c) Cassava three gardens
d) Maize three gardens
Others are:
1. Houses twenty five (25) around the church for IDPS
2. Ten pit latrines including church pit latrine
3. Roads and bridges are damaged
4. Bad source of water caused by water logging.
This has caused many people to reside in our church building. It has dislocated one of our pastors because all his houses have fallen down.
OUR PRAYER EMERGENCY NEEDS ARE:
Mosquitoes nets
Water purification (treatment)
Taplines (tents)
Food
Please we do request you to stand with us in prayer for we are crushed down completely and yet we have been relying on this, for ministry, family support and our children education.
