Subject: Prayer Supplement!
Hello,
I have an important prayer request for you all to get on
your knees about!
Can you please pray for ‘J’
Today J came to 133 seeking someone to listen to him and
treat him like a human being. J used to come to 133 and The Shop (in the
High Street) before that, and is someone GYFC have known for years. He
always had anger and behavioural
difficulties and eventually became the only person we had to ban from our
drop-in.
3 years ago J was sent down for a string of offences, and his
experiences have left him a man wanting to change. He hates himself, he
hates what he did, and feels he can’t do anything to put the wrong things right
in his life. He wants to tell other young people not to follow his path
and wants to make something of his life especially as he’ll be a Dad in 3
months time.
Writing this email can’t really express what it means for J
to be back in contact seeking to put things right with us and in his
life. He doesn’t know a way out but we’ve been able to tell him that God
created him for a purpose. He has taken my number and I pray that he will
call. In his own words, ‘you are the only people who haven’t run when I
wanted to talk to them, I need someone who will just listen to me, who knows me
but doesn’t totally know the real me…I need to sort my life out.’
Please pray for J. Pray he calls again, pray that we
can sit and hear his story and pray that we know what to say, and that we can
show him that he is loved.
