Unfortunately last week I had some troubling news.  In preparing for my return, the time has come for me to ask for my next visa, I am on a missionary visa, before leaving UK I received a visa for a year, then last July I asked for my second year visa, now it is time to ask for my permanent.  Instead of going to get the form a neighbour who works in the police intelligence said he would pick it up for me and find out what was happening with the second visa - the one I had asked for but not heard anything about.  He found out that my second visa was rejected (a big surprise to all) and that i should have received a letter informing me of this (I didn't receive this letter - apparently not uncommon).  This means that I have now been living in Brazil with out a visa since August and since November I have been living here illegally.  Praise the Lord that it was my neighbour who went to the police station for me as if I had gone I would have been deported.

 

At the moment, the plan is for me to stay here until my trip back to the UK.  Before I come back, I will visit the Police with my neighbour, to pay the fine and to try and sort out a visa for me to get back in to brazil on.

 

Please pray that I am to obtain a visa.  If I leave Brazil without having a visa in my passport it is likely to be difficult to enter Brazil again. 

 

This has come at a time when after so many years of planning and preparing, I have finally started to do what I should be doing.  The work here is just beginning, please pray that Jesus opens the door so I can continue.
