Dear Friends,

Please find attached an advertisement from Christchurch Westgate advertising for a part time youth and children's worker. Please pass this on to anyone that you may know in that area that may interested.

Thanks

Hi Nick
Thanks for reply
Afraid we had to get ad. in for Youthwork last Friday - so a modified ad should appear
Grateful if you can advertise through any network to which you have access
I have sent those possible interview dates around those who might attend
All good wishes
Bob

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your email with the draft youth worker advert. Sorry for delay in reply ... I always seem to be playing catch up with emails :-)
My comments ....

I think that the advert needs to provide a little bit more information. As per your application to Turn the Tide, I would advise that you include the following:
- looking for someone commited to Christ and committed to children & young people.
- focused on church based activities for children & young people
- c.15 hours pw
- salary c.£8000 pa

I would question whether it is worth the £300 or so cost for advertising in Youthwork magazine for a job less than half-time, as you are most likely to get a local person and Youthwork is a national magazine. Might be more value for money to advertise through church networks (including through myself) and the local press / websites. However, at the end of the day it is your decision of course.

I would definitely be keen to be involved in the interview. I wouldn't be able to do the 5th October, but I would be able to do 6th, 7th or 8th.

Please note I am away for the whole of August on holidays and residentials, but as things are quietening down now I will be able to get back to you if you contact me again in the next 2 weeks.

All the best
