Hi Chris - for the SMI Church prayer list. Please circulate.
Ernie's Mum has had a few falls over the past couple of days. This evening she is being admitted to Frindsbury Hall Nursing Home. Please keep us all in your prayers. Also my Dad is not too good today and my Mum is still struggling.
On the rejoicing side my neice gave birth to a little girl early this morning. That makes three granddaughters in four weeks for my brother and his wife. What fun.
Thanks. Janet. (Can't remember the forum details - sorry - I will do better next time).
Hi All
I just wanted to thank those who prayed for me, as I took my final exam
yesterday 13/02/07 and passed which now makes me fully qualifed.
I give thanks to God who has been my strength through the ups and downs
since starting this course in Feb 2005.
A scripture card which I have always carried with me on my last two
exams which has help me in making some tough decisions. (Ephesians
3:20.)
Blessings
Martin
Hi All, Well done to Martin our own
special ADI, I am looking forward to hearing him on Sunday now he is approved
mind you he was pretty good when he was not approved.
Regards to all Ernie

saying to me that the job at a banks call centre was not for me have had
difficulties all week not much sleep where i have been worrying and just

jane
Hi Jane,
It is so difficult when we are liftted out of our comfort zone. I have been
there many times and have prayed for confidence and perseverence in a
situation.
At the end of the day, you have to go with what is right for you, and at
least you can say you have given it your best shot. Don't despair something
right for you will present itself in good time.
Katie and I went to see Abby and Malc's new baby, Joel today. He's
gorgeous!!
Lots of Love Char.x

Jane - I cannot comment on whether it
was right for you.....but a neighbour worked for a local call centre and
had problems with the fact that they were 'encouraged' to try and increase
business by selling various products such as a loan to someone who couldnt
manage their overdraft. She found it getting close to being immoral - pressure
was brought down on you if you did not make the sales. Its not the friendly
face behind the counter type of job, no contact with real peole.........
Dont forget the new company taking over
chatham co-op - they will need staff.

Hi Jane, sometimes we get into some very difficult
experiences, I am sure Jacqui Green can share some of her experience in her
recent job with you, sometime the only answer is to move on, and believe our
ever difficult, God was there with you.
Jesus said “Come to me, all of you who
are carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest”
Had an email from John and Judith Saunders. They want prayer support re. Judith's mother who is in hospital and very unwell. They may have to change their plans about returning to the U.K. (by this I assume they mean come home earlier). They are in China at present.Janet
Hi All,
Sorry I missed you at church yesterday. It was the first time in 7
years that I was not able to play the piano in church, due to illness.
I'm off work today with this nasty head cold, which last night made me
feel as though my head was going to explode!! Feeling better this
afternoon.
Mart and I won't be around for the next two sundays. This weekend we
are at the local pastors retreat in Sussex and then the following
weekend, Marts preaching at Balmoral Road Church.
Sorry to hear about your Dad Janet, our prayers are with you at this
time.
Every Blessing

Robin and his lifelong friend Tom will be cycling from Tower Bridge in London to the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol in two days on 28/29 March 2007
This time it is conjunction with Cancer Research and was prompted by his sister's brush with breast cancer last year.
For more details Chris Green (once again - big thank you Chris) has constructed an amazing website which makes an interesting read and where you will also find details of how to sponsor him.
Pray for John and Judith as the news of Judith's mum's death has just come through (she died today, Weds 21st.) I think J & J were still in China and they will be curtailing their holiday.
Pray for Rita as she awaits the results of her CT scan - she went yesterday and was told that they'd brought the scan forward because they were 'concerned'.
It is about 1/2" in height just below the main tool bar at the top of the browser window. You have to click on it to allow activeX to install the player.

I couldn't sleep well last night, tossing and turning, you know the
type of thing.
Suddenly, Martin shouted out in his sleep 'turn right at the bottom of
the road'. I don't think this advice was going to help me! Obviously,
Martin was still working whilst he was sleeping!
See you all Soon

Hi one and all, I don't know whether I have missed the latest news - but just maybe it hasn't been posted on the forum.
Rita went for the result of her recent scan - and it confirmed that she had a tumour on her kidney. They are going to operate - provisional date 30th March or 2nd April. She also has a kidnet stone in the other kidney. The doctors have given her some medication to combat the nausea she has been experiencing. Pray for Rita - and her family at this worrying time.
Janet (Mann)
PS Thank you for your prayers and kind messages following the recent death of my father. The funeral service is on Tuesday 6th March at 1.20pm at Medway Crematorium and will be follwed by a Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving for his life at 2.45pm at my parents church - Twydall Evangelical Church, Goudhurst Road, Gillingham. Please continue to uphold us in prayer. My Mum has still not recovered properly from her recent heart attack - so is particularly 'fragile' at the moment.
A further update on Rita's progress. She is going to see the consultant on tomorrow (Monday 5th March) at 11.15 a.m. to discuss which type of surgery she would prefer (non invasive but a very long procedure or open surgery but quicker) with a view to having it on 13th March. She will have the Macmillan nurse with her tomorrow to support her at this meeting. She may join us at church this a.m. depending on how she feels re. her sickness. Pray for her . Janet
Rita has 'phoned - she had a meeting with the surgeon today. He is going to remove the entire kidney as he feels sure the tumour is cancerous. He will do this via key hole surgery, but reserves the option to do open surgery if things don't go right.Due to Rita's chest condition he wants to have further discussions with the anaesthetist so will defer surgery until April 3rd (I may be wrong on this - could be 2nd April). She is, understandably, very tired this evening but in good spirits. I think she could find the next 4 weeks difficult because she is so determined not to 'give in' to the situation. Keep praying! Janet

Although I was disappointed on Rita's behalf to learn that her operation has been deferred to April 3rd, it is now with relief because she has developed a nasty cold and they would not have done the surgery next week with that! Janet
