Hi
My 95 306 1.6 XS does the same - been doing it for
ages. I had the cooling system flushed and filled but
nothing changed. I spoke to a bloke in the local Pug
specialist and he said that as long as the fan is
kicking in (but not permanently) and bringing down the
temperature it should be ok. I check the level of
coolant from time to time and there's no sludge in the
oil filler cap so as far as I can tell all is well.
Just in case check the coolant level every few days to
make sure it isn't leaking somewhere and check for
'mayonnaise' sludge under the oil filler cap
indicating possible head gasket failure.
