Hi,

Bad news I'm afraid. I think the red light being on means the alarm
control unit has detected a fault somewhere. The standard alarms are
prone to faults. Unless you are lucky and it's just a loose
connection somewhere I think you'll be looking at needing to replace
the control unit. Might be costly.

Anyone else have any ideas?
