Well, I've had a 1998 1.9td Meridian hatch (since new) and, over its
life to date (71k miles), it's averaged around 45 mpg so yours sounds
just a bit thirsty:-(

I have got a 1998 306 1.9td and i am only getting about 30 to the gallon,it is ready for a service but should that make SO much difference to the consumption...

... a good service can make an awful lot of difference especialy the fuel filter I have found, also I run diesel injector cleaner in my tank every so often.I...
