Any luck with finding out what is causing the white smoke, or the
solution?

My 306 1.9 TD 1997 R reg is suffering exactly the same symptoms, starts
absolutely fine, runs perfectly well, just masses of clouds of white
smoke emitting from the car under acceleration? even noticable at night
on the motorway when putting my foot down to overtake! (At 80mph!!!)

Hence the reason I am conserned?

Any advice is most appreciated.
