Hi All

I have just discovered this group and am hoping someone will be able
to help me with a problem that has just started on my car. I have
the above mentioned car for five years now and is regularly serviced
at my local Peugeot dealer. I have 84k now on the clock but
recently the car seems to have developed a problem when starting
from cold, especially if its damp as well but always starts first
time.

When starting in the morning the car starts first time but splutters
and all this blue smoke comes out of the exhaust. The spluttering
can last up to 15 seconds. The only way for me to stop this quicker
is to use the gas pedal. If I turn off the engine and start this
again the car starts first time as always and its fine, no smoke out
of the exhaust. My local Peugeot dealer has had this plugged into
the computer for 90 minutes and they reported that the computer
couldnt find a fault with the engine or emmisions and took this in a
long test drive as well as having the car over night. Now what I
cant understand is why all of a sudden has this problem started and
how they tell me that they never noticed this when the car starts
and how all this smoke is acceptable when starting.

Also if I am driving over 80mph my steering starts to shudder, not
violently. My tracking has been checked, tire pressure is also
okay, brake pads/discs are fine. What could this be?

Can anyone shed any light on this for me? I dont even know if I am
doing any damage to the engine/car. This is driving me insane.
