RE: [Stuart's Peugeot 306 Club] Starting problems on 306 XTDT 9/95

I´m another glow plug warrior....

I use to replance once a month one glow plug,
recognice it as the engine gets dead in winter,
an a black cloud smoke when starting in summer,

but today (spendind the whole weekend working in that)
at the end I think I founded the problem,
I downloaded a "FAI automotive" pdf catalog I founded
in Internet,

I founded out that I had the wrong glow plugs fited,
I had the 1.9D engine glow plugs,
an my car is 1.9DT (turbo engine)
(this is not my first problem with the turbo spare parts)
I was lucky to had 4 glow plugs at home,
I had a Citroen Berlingo years ago,

they are 2 mm diferent in lenght
from the thread to the probe end,
the current they drain is also different,
changed from 30 amps to 45 amps,

best regards,
Pablo,
