I wouldn't worry so much about the engine temperatures
but it does sound like you have a coolant leak. I had
one for about 6 months before I noticed the hole on
the rear of the radiator.

Also, I replaced the radiator on my 1995 XTdt about 3
years ago and it's now got a leak so I need to change
it again. I think 3 years for a radiator is typical
for a 306.

I got a replacement for £80+del+VAT from
www.andyspares.com I'll be fitting it at the weekend.

If I was you I would get that checked out, It sounds a bit worrying I've got a 306 DT and the only time the temperature gets near 90 is when I'm hitting...
