In this picture I'm reminded of a king in the film Lord of the Rings. Do you remember how
there was a king who had an adviser called Wormtongue, who practically had the
king under hypnosis? His eyes were glazed over. Of course in Harry Potter the (belly) ego is called
Wormtail, so that's an interesting coincidence.
I was thinking of Lord of the Rings while
reading through the above explanation J Using this film as a basis for continued discussion, from your
text below it seems that the clearing of the sight and renewed action comes
from the king himself as he surrenders to the voice of the silence, while in
the film, it is Gandalf who clears the sight of the King.
Are these maybe two separate actions/forces
that take place at the same time? When the king surrenders to the voice, does a
new force start to act within the body (i.e. Gandalf)
