Dear Hans,
Thank you again for your wonderful answers to my questions on the
place and value love, service and friendship have in the Lectorium
teachings and in the context of our main goal and purpose being our own
transformation by following the Path of Return. Responses I received to
my questions on the value of love and service from other Lectorium
members were more clarifying to me on this subject.Your perspective was
not as clear to me from previous posts when I brought up the subject to
you. I had such a strong sense that there was a place in the Path for
love and service and your answers have verified that. I hope to post
more on your answers within the next few weeks. Parts 1 and 2 of your
answers were beautiful; and Part 3 even more so.
I don't remember if you had this quote in your first post on "proto
religion." That post openned me up to a much more expansive view of all
religions and freed me from the restrictions and compartmentalizing I
had done regarding various religions which kept me from seeing the full
picture and overview. I came across this quote on a Druid site which I
found following some threads in Geo's response to me on the HPFS List
today. What a beautiful post she wrote which I will respond to on the
HPFS List next week.
I think you used this quote in your original post; but if not, here it
is:
"In the 4th century St. Augustine declared, "That which is called the
Christian Religion existed among the Ancients, and never did not exist,
from the begining of the Human Race until Christ came in the flesh, at
which time true religion, which already existed began to be called
Christianity."
With love,
Cathy
